Welcome to our new site for advertising your instrument. Whether you are selling a piccolo or a piano ,a triangle or trombone,a fife or a fiddle, a xylophone or saxophone then this is the site top sell it on.With around 300 visitors looking at this site each day, you have a good chance of finding a buyer for your instrument. If you are looking for a particular instrument then you can advertise as WANTED and you should be able to find the instrument you are looking for.
You can write as much and as long a text as you wish: I would advise you to be as descriptive as possible using as many adjectives as you can get away with. For example: - Superb, excellent, marvellous, fantastic all help to emphasize the point. Also be honest. If there are one or two dents or the pads need changing then please be clear about that so that the buyer knows where they stand. You can update at anytime, you will be given a code word so that you can log on and change things at a later date, should you wish to do so. It's often difficult to know just how much to pitch it for .You can always start high and come down later but if you are unsure you could always be guided by current second hand prices. If it's brass or woodwind instruments, we are willing to give a free estimate for those who are advertising.
Adding a photo will go a long way to help you sell your instrument if you are in possession of a digital camara. Please upload images as .jpg with approximately 10% compression. Images should be no larger than 350x350 pixels.
Indicate exactly how you wish to transport the item, who pays and also where you are willing to send it. Not everyone is willing to pay to send an instrument to the other side of the world.
I cannot think of any more advice except one and that is off a particular scam
That you may come across from time to time. Someone will offer you a cheque that is far excess of the price of the instrument. They inform you that they have a customer who is interested in it and they have an agent who lives in the U.K who will not only organise shipping but they also tell that this agent owes them a large amount of money and will be forwarding it to you. All you need to do is wait for the cheque to arrive and wire the balance to them in Nigeria or somewhere like that.I have had a cheque here on the wall for £7250 for the last three months. It far outweighs the amount I was asking for a bass clarinet. It is pointless me banking the cheque as I know it will bounce. These scams are easy to spot and I do not want you to fall for it as I nearly did so I have enclosed a couple of examples recieved by a customer of mine.
Do not let that put you off. There a plenty off honest people out there and I have sold many instruments myself from this site already so good luck.
NOTE:- Adverts can not be accepted without credit card detail and will not be shown. Good luck and let us know how you get on.
